    Default Betfair Closes Russian Market

Just for those who may be targeting the Russian market and may have missed it. You must remove all marketing immediately.

    Hi,
Betfair has taken the decision to close its websites for all existing Russian customers which means any partner who is targetting Russian players must remove that marketing immediately. New customers from Russia will be blocked from today May 5th and any existing customers will be able to withdraw their funds until May 18th.

This block also applies to Estonia and if you have any marketing targetting that country.

If any customers from either of these countries have questions relating to their customer account, please contact Betfair Customer Support.
For questions relating to your affiliate account on this issue please contact [email protected] or your Account Manager.

    Thanks,

    Betfair Partnerships

I got that Micky, did you get the one about the marking your marketing source ID's as INACTIVE if not used anymore?

I have lost count of the emails I have sent for them to clarify if I mark it as Inactive do the players on that ID get detagged?

    Would you know?

I never got that email as far as I'm aware. However I did get locked out of my account due to entering the wrong password, because Betfair insists I change my password every other week, and will not allow me to use old passwords. Anyhow, I got locked out and was locked out for nearly two months, as nobody would respond to my email to reopen my account. So good luck getting in touch with them.

I used to be able to get in contact quite easily but not this time which leads me to believe something is going on.

First email 7 days ago is below followed by one I got yesterday which seems rather more threatening with their one strike policy.

I hope this email finds you well.

We are currently in the process of categorising affiliates by Risk Factor according to UKGC regulations. This is also in line with our compliance process.

We are required to know and monitor each marketing source that is being used to promote the Paddy Power Betfair brand. This includes every website or social handle where the Paddy Power Betfair brand is being mentioned and promoted.

You are required to include every marketing source on Netrefer, in your Paddy Power Betfair Affiliate account. This also includes updating new marketing sources and identifying which marketing sources are no longer active. Failure to abide by this may lead to your affiliate account fallen into a high-risk category for further checks and auditing.

In the case of having a new marketing source, or to add a marketing source which you are using but is not on your Paddy Power Betfair Affiliate account, you need to follow these simple steps:
    1. Log into your Paddy Power Betfair Affiliate account.

    2. Go to “Campaigns” which is located on the left-hand side menu.

    3. Click on “Marketing Sources”.

    4. Click on “Create New” on the right-hand side.

    5. Fill in the details of the marketing source and click “Save”.

    6. This will generate a unique Marketing Source ID (PID) for the particular marketing source, which can be used to edit the affiliate link to represent any traffic attracted from this marketing source.

In the case of having old marketing sources registered which are no longer in use. but are still showing on your Paddy Power Betfair Affiliate account, you need to follow these simple steps to show this:
    1. Log into your Paddy Power Betfair Affiliate account.

    2. Go to “Campaigns” which is located on the left-hand side menu.

    3. Click on “Marketing Sources”.

    4. Click on the name of the marketing source.

    5. Edit the name of the marketing source by adding “– INACTIVE” after the name of the marketing source.

    6. Save your changes.

Thank you for your co-operation and feel free to get in touch with any of your account managers if you encounter any issues.

    Kind Regards,
    PPB Partnerships Team

I just stopped working with betfair long ago and I got this email too.

For me they are not and will never be one of the decent programs for us.
